Antigua and Barbuda has over 365 beaches and Dickenson Bay is considered to be the largest and most developed of the beach resorts. The majority of the tourists who go to Dickenson Bay are Canadian, British and American package holiday makers who are the great beaches, which have shops, restaurants and bars that line the beachfront. Most of the beaches at Dickenson Bay are great for snorkeling, sailing and most other water sports.

If you are looking for nightlife, then Dickenson Bay probably isn’t the best place. There are a few beach bars, but the best places for nightlife are at English Harbour and Runaway Bay. Jolly Beach

 

Jolly Harbour is located on the west of Antigua and Barbuda and its one of the most picturesque resorts on the island. There are loads of hotels, restaurants, bars and shops that line the beachfront and this is what draws the mainly Canadian, British and American package holiday makers to Jolly Harbour. The majority of the beaches stay busy most of the time during peak season, but if you are looking for a fantastic beach that can be quiet at times goes to Darwood Beach. Jolly Harbour is also known for having fantastic world-class golf courses and sailing centers that are thought to be one of the best in the country.

The nightlife in Jolly Harbour isn’t bad, as they have a the best casino’s on the island that constantly have live entertainment, but the best places for nightlife are at English Harbour and Runaway Bay. St John's


St John’s is the capital of Antigua and Barbuda and it’s located on the northwest coast of the country. What makes St. John’s such a popular destination is that it has the busiest cruise ship port in the country, so most of the tourists that arrive are only for a few days and are mainly there for the duty-free shopping and the fantastic beaches. St. John’s is in the Five Islands peninsular, which is popular with a mainly adult crowd.

The best beaches in St. John’s are located at Galley and Deep Bay, which are located in the nearby Five Islands peninsular. Also, if you are looking for adult only beaches check out Hawksbill, which is a clothing optional beach.

The nightlife in St. John’s is considered to be quite good, as there are a number of great bars and clubs, but the best places for nightlife in the country are at English Harbour and Runaway Bay.
