Intro into Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan has an undeserved reputation as a flat and featureless expanse of prairie that is very cold. Part of this statement is true, but the northern half of the province has over 100,000 lakes and also forests where fishing and campfires lure anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

In winter Saskatchewan can get cold, but for those interested in doing some ice fishing or Snowmobiling then Saskatchewan is probably one of the best provinces to do these things in Canada.

The highest elevation in Saskatchewan is Cypress Hills, which is located in the southwest of the province and it stands over 1392m (4566ft) above sea level. This is one of the best province’s to see the Northern Lights and it has the world’s most northerly sand dunes. For more information go to www.sasktourism.com
